Student Council

The Student Council, which is elected annually, has the responsibility of representing the views of the students as well as those of their employing organizations, in the various committees dealing with different aspects of the University and its progressive development.

The official organs of the Student Council are the General Assembly, the Executive Board and the Court of Honour. The President of the Student Council has been a member of the Academic Council and the Board of Governors since 1998. The President of the Student Council has also had an important role vis-à-vis the management of the University.

The Student Council has a keen interest in social affairs strengthening the bonds of friendship among diverse ethnic and cultural groups. Further, it promotes and coordinates programs which foster the integration of students into “Malmö life”. Of special interest is the celebration of the International Day when the students demonstrate the richness of different cultures and cuisine.

 

          

WMU Publications

WMU Publications has been established as the route for publishing of scholarly books on maritime affairs written by WMU staff and external maritime experts linked to the University.
