ITL04BRO - Chartering practice and ship brokering - 2 credits

Those who are responsible for organizing international transport and logistics need to have very specific knowledge of ship chartering and brokering. The aim of this subject is to give practical knowledge and to view the most important issues with a focus on strategic decisions regarding such activities. Discussions will also be held on changes in the external environment, especially in the world economy and information/communication technology and their impact on ship chartering and brokering.
 

ITL03ISC - Integrated supply chain management - 2 credits

Aim Intensive competition has pushed companies to identify new sources of competitiveness. More and more people are turning their attention to logistics and supply chain management to gain a competitive edge. Modern logistics and SCM play an important role in the overall performance of a company as a substantial part of total costs is related to transport and logistics activities. The aim of this subject is to introduce the basic concepts of modern logistics and supply chain management with an integration of procurement, operations and logistics.
