Professional Development Courses

In addition to the regular programmes at WMU, professional development courses in a variety of subjects are given both at WMU and on other locations around the world. These courses are conducted by the faculty of WMU.

World Maritime University offers a range of Professional Development Courses that provide mid-career updating for maritime professionals.  They range in length from a few days to several weeks, and provide an expert blend of academic expertise and hands-on experience. Our PDCs consist of two types: stand-alone courses hosted on WMU’s premises in Malmö, Sweden where the participants pay a fixed fee, and tailor-made courses that can be offered at any location world-wide, usually at the client's site, where the commissioning organisation meets all the costs of mounting the course.
