Entrance Requirements

Applicants are eligible to apply for the MSc in MSEM if they have the following qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree (with distinction) in a relevant discipline (with full transcript)
AND/OR
The highest grade certificate of competency for unrestricted service as master mariner or chief engineer
 
A suitable language test score (i.e. TOEFL 570 – 230 or above, IELTS 6.5 or above – academic version)
 
Applicants with TOEFL between 500 and 570 or IELTS 5.5 and 6.5 (or only CET Band-6 for Chinese applicants) can participate in a special English programme offered at DMU, but they must provide another IELTS score at the exit of the programme. The result of the English programme and the IELTS score will, combined, be used in the admission process.
