Studying in Dalian
As one of the most developed municipalities and major hubs of China, Dalian offers countless opportunities and attraction to guests coming from around the world each year. Every year, a great number of domestic and international tourists draw their attention either to the Tiger Beach for its pole aquarium or to the peaceful Binhai Road for an inspiring view of the Yellow Sea. Of course, taking a pace to the country's famous Xinghai Square at night is another option, for it would most likely give a close glimpse of the charming city and its unique night culture. Not far from the city centre is the township of Lvshun, offering a panoramic view of the historic battlefield of Russo-Japanses War a century ago. Some of the buildings of the time were preserved, now re-opened as museums.

DMU is located in the southwest part of the coastal city of Dalian in Northeast China. The campus covers 0.9 square kilometres. Library, laboratories, computing centre, audio-visual teaching centre, navigation training and research centre and so on are all available on campus.
The classroom for this programme is well equipped with multi-media functions. A Computer Room with 38 new broadband internet enabled PCs is dedicated to the programme. A special documentation centre with subject related publications in English is also made available to the students of this programme.
The living costs in Dalian are estimated to be at a basic level of RMB 50,000 for a single person for the whole 14-month formal programme. For those who are admitted to the 3-month English course, the minimum living costs for the total study period will be RMB 60,000.
Assistance can be provided on request to find accomdations. Typically, it will be apartments type of accommodation near the DMU Campus. Each of the apartments has furniture and 2 bedrooms, 1 living room, 1 kitchen, 1 toilet. If one person lives in an apartment, the minimum monthly cost is estimated at RMB 2,000 - 2,500; if two persons share one apartment, the monthly cost will be half.
