MoU with Philippine Ports Authority

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Academic Cooperation was signed on 16 July with the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA). Under the terms of the agreement, WMU will accept 5 or more qualified M.Sc. candidates into the Malmö program beginning with the 2013 intake and continuing for a total of five years. The candidates will be financially sponsored by PPA. The MoU also allows for productive relationships and academic cooperation including the potential offering of customized professional development courses at PPA in Malmö or in Manila on a cost-recovery basis. The MoU was signed by Atty. Juan C. Sta Ana, General Manager of PPA, and WMU President Björn Kjerfve in the presence of WMU Professor, Dr. Max Mejia, Administrator of MARINA, and WMU Financial Officer Leo Viajar.
