MSEM Class of 2014 Graduation, Dalian

On 24 August, the Class of 2014 Maritime Safety and Environmental Management (MSEM) Graduation Ceremony took place at Dalian Maritime University (DMU). A total of 44 students, all from China, received MSc Degrees. The ceremony marked the ninth MSEM graduating class since the programme started in 2005.

In attendance from WMU were Acting President Neil Bellefontaine and Vice President (International) Shuo Ma.  Attendees from DMU included Vice President Liu Zhengjiang as well as DMU faculty involved in the MSEM programme. Students of the MSEM Class of 2015 were also in attendance as well as family members and friends of the graduates and a number of representatives of the nominating authorities.

Acting President Bellefontaine conferred the degrees on the Class of 2014. Mr. Shen Jiaqiang received the Chancellor’s Medal for Academic Excellence and Cheng Ping, Liu Qing and Li Pengju received awards for Best Research Paper.
