Lolan Margaretha Eriksson
Lolan Eriksson is responsible for maritime environment issues in the Ministry of Transport and Communications in Finland. She has been attending the IMO MEPC since 2008 and before that the IMO Legal Committee for several years. She has also previously represented Finland in the IOPC Funds and worked as Transport Counsellor in the Finnish Representation to the European Union in Brussels. She is active in the Baltic Sea regional cooperation, e.g. within the framework of the Baltic Marine Environment Protection Commission (HELCOM), with a specific focus on public and private cooperation for enhancing the uptake of green technology and alternative fuels, and she chaired the Maritime Group of HELCOM from 2009 to 2013. She follows the international negotiations on Climate change within the framework of the UNFCCC and she has also taken part in the work of the IMO Ad Hoc Experts Working Group on Technology Transfer (AHEWG-TT). Ms Eriksson has a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Helsinki.
