Qualified German lawyer / LL.M. in Shipping Law (UCT)
Claude Pohlit is a qualified German lawyer and holds a LL.M. in Shipping Law from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
He is currently employed as Vice President at Skuld, based in the Hamburg, Germany office. He handles all aspects of P&I and FDD claims. Before joining Skuld in 2011, Claude worked in private practice as a lawyer and for another fixed premium P&I Club.
In addition to his normal role as a claims handler, Claude is also the Head of Casualty for the Hamburg business unit. In this capacity, he is regularly involved in more complex casualty cases and major claims.
Being raised and grown up in Eastern Germany’s biggest port city at the Baltic Sea, Claude has been a keen sailor since his early childhood. In wintertime, he regularly tries to escape to skiing adventures around the world.
