Ms SivChristin Gaalaas has been actively involved in national and international workin the maritime sector for more than 25 years. She has worked for the NorwegianMinistry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries since 2010, responsible forinternational maritime regulations and policies. Ms Gaalaas is the Norwegian nationalcoordinator of IMO matters and a long standing member of the Norwegiandelegation to IMO. She currently serves as Head of delegation for IMO FAL and TCC.Her responsibilities as a Specialty Director also includes matters related topolar shipping, both in relation to the Arctic and Antarctic.

Ms Gaalaashas a Master of Law degree with a focus on International Trade law, and abachelor degree in business administration.
