The annual WMU International Day celebration for 2018 was held on 18 August at the Henrik Smith Residence for students. The theme for this year’s event was “Unity in cultural diversity.” Over 300 people attended including students, staff, host families, friends and families of the students.

The Inmarsat Seminar is an annual WMU event and this year it was delivered from 6-8 August to all students in the MSc programme. The first day began with an introduction to Inmarsat including information on Inmarsat’s role in relation to the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS).
