WMU alumnus, Ambassador Dwight Gardiner, Antigua and Barbuda's Permanent Representative to the International Maritime Organization (IMO), has been appointed an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE). This honour was conferred on him by Her Majesty the Queen in her New Year's Honours List 2017 in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the National and International Marine Community.
