Ms. Sonia Santangelo joined the WMU in Malmo, Sweden in August 2022 and currently holds the role of Project Support Assistant. She is responsible for all the Administrative and Organizational part of the CAPFISH project, which aims to build knowledge and capacity to combat IUU fishing in developing countries and small island states.
Sonia has extensive experience working with the United Nations in Rome, Italy. Prior joining WMU, Sonia worked as an HR Administrative Assistant with the World Food Programme (WFP). Previously, Sonia held a key role in both administrative and technical departments working with the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) in Rome, Italy from 2001.
