SEMINAR - Can a regulation be assessed against performance in shipping?

This seminar will discuss the role that industry good practice(s) can play in achieving a good performance of the shipping sector and that not everything needs to be regulated. Finding the perfect balance is key. With the participation of the Nautical Institute, InterManager, BIMCO and other industry members, the aim of this seminar is to demonstrate that good practice(s) help achieve good performance in the shipping industry in relation to safety and the environment or commercially.

This seminar is organized for the WMU Class of 2022 MSc students as part of their course on the IMO System of Regulations but is open for the general public to attend online.
