On 1 September, the World Maritime University (WMU) welcomed Mr David Loosely, Secretary General and CEO of BIMCO. The courtesy visit with Dr. Cleopatra Doumbia-Henry, President of WMU, and key members of the senior academic staff provided the opportunity for Mr Loosely to learn more about WMU’s educational programmes and research activities as well as to discuss areas of potential cooperation such as on research and distance learning. Gratitude was expressed to BIMCO for their long-standing support to the University’s field studies visits which has provided students with the opportunity to visit BIMCO House in Bagsværd. Mr Loosely invited the President and key members of the senior academic staff to visit BIMCO in person as well.
