EPDC Delivered in Yangon, Myanmar

WMU delivered an Executive Professional Development Course (EPDC) from 16-20 November 2015 for the Department of Maritime Administration (DMA) in Yangon, Myanmar. The five-day course entitled Training Course for Simulator Training and Assessment was delivered by Assistant Professor Dimitrios Dalaklis. The course contents were based on the requirements of STCW Regulation I/6 and STCW Code A-I/6 and also took into account contents of IMO Model Course 6.10 – Train the Simulator Trainer and Assessor. All twenty of the participants were qualified Master Mariners and Chief Engineers from local maritime institutions and benefited from the course which advanced their knowledge and skills in the use of simulators in the Maritime Education Training (MET) environment. This was the second course to be delivered in 2015 as part of the MoU between WMU and DMA.
