EPDC on Shipping and Ports Delivered to ETF

WMU delivered an Executive Professional Development Course (EPDC) in Malmö on Shipping and Ports to staff members from the European Transport Workers' Federation (ETF) from 27 to 31 March. The main objective of the EPDC was to provide an update on contemporary developments in shipping and ports issues. Topics addressed included IMO conventions, environmental issues in shipping, market-based measures, social and training issues, port evolution, logistics, economics, and shipping alliances and finance.

WMU Staff involved with the delivery of the course included Professor Shuo Ma, Professor Daniel Moon, Professor Dong Wook Song, Professor Ilias Visvikis, Associate Professor Raphael Baumler and Associate Professor Michael Manuel. Through customized executive courses, WMU meets the educational needs and requirements of particular organizations and actively supports the commitment to UN Sustainable Development Goal 4: inclusive and equitable quality education and the promotion of lifelong learning opportunities for all.
