ITL Class of 2014 Graduation, Shanghai

The Graduation Ceremony for WMU's MSc Programme in International Transport and Logistics (ITL), Class of 2014, was held on 23 August in Shanghai.

A total of 36 graduates representing China, Germany, Greece, India, Indonesia,   and Mexico, attended the ceremony together with their families and friends. This year’s ceremony marked the ninth graduation of the MSc program that has been delivered by WMU in collaboration with Shanghai Maritime University (SMU) since 2005.

In attendance from WMU were Acting President Neil Bellefontaine and Vice President (International) Shuo Ma. Attendees from SMU included President Huang Youfang, Vice President Jin Yongxing, the Dean of Transportation College, Prof. Ge Yingen, the Director of the International Cooperation Department of SMU, Ms Yu Hongrong, and several SMU faculty members who have been involved in the teaching or supervision of the ITL program. Students from the ITLClass of 2015 were also in attendance.

Acting President Bellefontaine conferred the degrees on the Class of 2014. Mr. Hermann Christoph Schulte received the Chancellor's Medal for Academic Excellence Award as well as an award for Best Research Paper. Ms. Zhao Yayun also received an award for Best Research Paper.
