METPROM 2nd Partners Meeting in Warnemunde

The second progress review of the European METPROM project was held from 18-20 September at Hochschule Wismar in Warnemunde, Germany. Associate Professor Dr. Michael Baldauf, deputy head of the MaRiSa research group, presented the preliminary results of several case studies performed together with Research Associate Aditi Kataria on security training schemes in ports, but also in other transport modes. The meeting concerned the development of a pedagogical framework program for training port security personnel with a special focus on the integration of simulation based elements. The discussion focused on the efficiency of 3D elements and tasks were allocated to all project partners.

The METPROM project is under the European Commission's Leonardo da Vinci (LDV) Programme that addresses vocational education and training for port security personnel. The project aims to bring EU wide standards to port security through standardized and harmonized training programs. WMU is the leader of Work package 4 that addresses the development of an innovative training environment concept with integrated simulation based and e-learning modules.
