POSTPONEMENT Alumni Homecoming Conference

On 24 March, President Doumbia-Henry informed WMU alumni that the Alumni Homecoming Conference, WMU 2020: Building Global Maritime & Ocean Capacity for Sustainable Development has been postponed. The text is below, and the email message can be found here.

Dear Graduates,

I very much regret to inform you that the WMU Alumni Homecoming Conference scheduled for 9 to 11 June 2020 has been postponed because of the outbreak of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). This decision was not taken lightly, but we felt it necessary to ensure the safety and security of all the participants.
We are hoping to rearrange the Conference to be held in 2021, and I very much hope that you will join us then.  All the conference fees that have been received will be refunded, and you should not pay any invoices that you have requested.
We will be in touch again in due course, when the dates of the re-arranged event are confirmed. In these uncertain times, let us continue to take care of each other and do our best to stay safe, remain calm and continue to observe all the established precautions.
