POSTPONEMENT IMLA 2020 Conference

We very much regret to announce that the IMLA 2020 Joint Conference with ICERS, IMEC and INSLC, scheduled for 1-5 September 2020 at the World Maritime University (WMU), has been postponed until 2021 due to the continuing uncertainty surrounding the situation with COVID-19.

The decision to postpone was taken after careful consideration together with the International Maritime Lecturers’ Association (IMLA), the International Conference on Engine Room Simulators (ICERS), International Maritime English Conference (IMEC) and International Navigation Simulator Lecturers’ Conference (INSLC). Based on the current global circumstances, it was agreed that postponement was necessary to ensure the safety and security of all the participants.

A new date for the Conference, as well as a new deadline for papers, will be announced in due course. We very much hope that you will join us for this important event that will take place at WMU in 2021. For those of you who have already registered, all conference fees will be refunded, and you should not pay any invoices that you have requested.

In these uncertain times, let us continue to take care of each other and do our best to stay safe, remain calm and continue to observe all the established precautions.

Sincerely,

Dr. Cleopatra Doumbia-Henry
