In her address, Dr. Doumbia-Henry expressed her great pride and satisfaction to see all present at the ceremony, in particular, Ms. Aderonke Aminat Adekeye and Ms. Oyindamola Temitope Banjoko, both from Nigeria, who are the first to graduate with a Master of Philosophy(M.Phil.) in International Maritime Law. As lawyers, she also enjoined them to uphold justice and the law and to be flag-bearers of bothIMLI and WMU.

In concluding, Dr. Doumbia-Henry encouraged all of the graduands to use the knowledge they have gained to be drivers of change in these challenging times and to build a strong maritime network, not only for promulgating national law but for the effective implementation of the same.
