Dr. Jose Gonzalez Celis is a senior maritime professional who combines more than 20 years of relevant experience with a great passion for the shipping industry.
Dr. Gonzalez career began as a seagoing engineer on board RoRos, LPG tankers and Bulk carriers prior moving ashore. Over the last 15 years he has been working both in shipping and power generation businesses, leading Environmental, Sustainability and Energy departments for different companies like Cummins Engine Company and Lloyd’s Register of Shipping. Dr. Gonzalez is currently working for Stolt Tankers as Energy Conservation Manager, his main responsibilities are but not limited to: plan and manage energy management projects, set up long-term vision and strategy on energy conservation field and execute those programs working together with other departments within the company.
