I have been a career bureaucrat in India for 35 years. Currently, I am a member on the Board of the IL&FS (Infrastructure Leasing and Financing Services) and its group companies. It has been a privilege to be appointed on the Board by the Government of India.

Most recently, I have been nominated by the Ministry of Shipping, Government ofIndia as the Chairperson of the National Shipping Board. This is a statutory advisory Board within the ambit of the National Shipping Act, 1958.

My career spans over 3 decades both in the field and at the policy level – a major portion of which was in the water, power and industries sector.
