Dr. Ma is a professor of shipping and port management at WMU and the Vice President (International). He is an active researcher and consultant in the area of shipping and port economics, policy and management, marine environmental economics, and shipping-port related logistics. Dr. Ma is the Director of WMU's MSc programs in China: International Transport and Logistics in Shanghai, and Maritime Safety and Environmental Management in Dalian. He is also responsible for the University's Post-graduate diploma programmes by distance learning and the E-learning Solutions activities.
