Vivek is manager at Business for Social Responsibility (BSR), based in Denmark. Vivek advises the Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN) on partnership development with external stakeholders and supports MACN's collective action program within the regions of Europe, Middle East, and Africa. He is primarily responsible for collective action projects in West Africa. With a primary focus on Nigeria, he leads projects in this region and works closely with MACN’s local partners to drive private-sector leadership on combating corruption in the port and maritime sector. He is also responsible for the development and the launch of the Global Port Integrity Index, measuring the level of integrity in ports worldwide.

Prior to joining BSR, Vivek was the head of the maritime occupational safety and health department at Sea Health and Welfare, a Danish non-profit private consultancy and service organization for Danish shipping. Vivek is a master mariner with more than 20 years of experience in the maritime industry, including sailing as senior officer aboard merchant ships worldwide. He holds a Master’s degree in maritime affairs with a specialty in maritime law and policy from the World Maritime University.
