This project aims to:
-investigate the capacity of the current international regulatory framework to effectively prevent fatigue and to mitigate its consequences relating to ship safety and security as well as seafarer health;
- to assess the barriers to implementation onboard ships; and,
-to evaluate the enforcement of the current regulation regime.
- to discuss and potentially recommend substantial regulatory improvements based on empirical findings.
